Platform

Cliniko, set up the way your clinic works

Widely used by multi-practitioner allied health clinics for scheduling, online booking and reporting. We configure it from scratch, migrate practices onto it, and untangle the setups that grew organically.

Where Cliniko is strong

Cliniko is a well-established cloud practice management system used by tens of thousands of health professionals, and it's a common choice for allied health clinics running several practitioners across multiple rooms or sites. Scheduling, online booking, clinical notes, invoicing, payments and reporting all sit in one place, and the interface is one practitioners tend to get on with.

If you're running a growing team and your main pain is coordinating people, rooms and availability, it deserves a serious look.

Where implementations go wrong

Almost never in the software. They go wrong when a practice signs up, configures enough to start taking bookings, and then never returns to finish the job. Two years later the appointment types have multiplied, the reminder settings are half done, former practitioners are still in the system and nobody trusts the reports.

The features that would save the most time — online booking rules, automated reminders, treatment note templates, automated invoicing, recalls — are exactly the ones that get postponed.

What we do with Cliniko

Configuration & setup

Practitioners, services, appointment types, durations, rooms, business hours and availability rules — modelled on how the clinic genuinely runs.

Online booking

A booking experience that only ever offers slots you're happy to release, with the right appointment type going to the right practitioner.

Reminders & recalls

SMS and email confirmations, reminders, pre-appointment instructions and recall campaigns, worded in your practice's voice.

Templates & forms

Treatment note templates, intake and consent forms, letters and discharge summaries set up so they populate themselves.

Invoicing & payments

Fee schedules, automated invoicing, online payment, accounting integration and a credit-control routine.

Migration & clean-up

Data brought across from your old system, or an existing Cliniko rationalised until the reports mean something again.

Choosing

Not sure which platform?

We work in both, we're paid by you rather than by the software, and the free Practice Discovery Call covers exactly this question. Sometimes the right answer is that your current system is fine and only its configuration needs work.

Questions

Cliniko questions we're asked most

Cliniko or WriteUpp?

It depends on your mix of work. Cliniko is strong for multi-practitioner allied health clinics — scheduling across practitioners and rooms, online booking, reporting and a well-regarded interface. WriteUpp tends to win for UK practices with significant private medical insurance billing, thanks to native Healthcode integration, and for solo practitioners on price. We will give you a straight answer for your circumstances.

Can you migrate us from Cliniko to something else, or onto Cliniko?

Both directions. Patient records, appointment history, clinical notes and financial data, with reconciliation checks at each stage and a cut-over plan that keeps the clinic running.

Our Cliniko has grown messy over the years. Can that be fixed?

Yes, and it is one of the more satisfying jobs. Duplicated appointment types, practitioners who left, services nobody offers any more, half-configured reminders and reports nobody trusts. A structured tidy-up usually takes days rather than weeks and makes the reporting meaningful again.

Do you work with the Cliniko integrations?

Yes — payments, accounting, telehealth and the rest of the ecosystem. Part of the review is working out which integrations genuinely earn their place and which are adding cost and confusion.
